Here's a home selling tip that will not cost you a lot of money but can make your house a lot easier to sell.

When people tour and open house one of the things they like to do is turn on faucets, flush toilets and turn on the lights. You want to make sure that all of these things work properly. Make sure there are no bulbs burned out. Check to see that all switches work. Do the faucets look their age? If they do you can buy new ones relatively inexpensively at the chain home repair stores. If the faucets don't need replacing make sure they don't leak.

Remember to tap the knowledge of your real estate agent. If you need someone to make minor repairs your agent can probably recommend someone to do the job.
